EVERESTING MCBRIDE

On Saturday, June 5th, 2021, those with hearty souls and strong legs will take to their bikes and ascend from the town of McBride, BC in an attempt at this incredible exploit on Canada's top climb, McBride Peak.

There will be 3 categories of riders:
Everest Base Campers: These riders will complete half the elevation gain of Everest, riding 4.2 repeats up Rainbow Falls Road to McBride Peak in order to do so.
Everesters: These riders will complete the full elevation of Everest, riding 8.2 repeats up Rainbow Falls Road to McBride Peak.
Everest 10Kers: For those riders where Everest isn't tall enough. 10,000m of elevation gain earned by completing 9.2 repeats up Rainbow Falls Road to McBride Peak.

McBride Peak is a 10.7km climb on gravel roads with an average gradient of 10%. It will reach a top gradient of 20% in achieving a total elevation gain of 1084m. Once up this beast is not enough though... It will take 8.2 times up the mountain in order to match the elevation gain equivalent to Mount Everest!
